General Rules
[+] Cursing will be permitted, but please keep it to a minimum. [+] No porn or anything of that sort will be permitted. [+] Please respect all members, especially staff members. [+] Please, no fights in OOC. [+] Please use OOC when appropriate. [+] At least 150 words per post please, I find that fairly easy to do. [+] Whole, completed OOC posts are permitted only in the OOC boards. [+] The first part of the password is hm. [+] No power-playing. [+] No killing other people's characters unless permission has been given, and it has been arranged.
Joining/Character Rules
[+] You may have as many characters as you want. But they must all be active. [+] Your character must be accepted before you can start roleplaying with him/her. [+] No wings, horns, odd colors, etc. [+] Only real horse breeds accepted (no donkeys, unicorns, pegasi, etc.) [+] No unrealistic heights (eg. 13hh for a mini) [+] The second part of the password is ha. [+] No god-modeling. [+] Please make your character name unique, and check to make sure your character name hasn't been used already.
Time/Aging Rules
[+] Each month is a season. [+] There are four seasons in a year, so 4 months = 1 year [+] Horses age accordingly and must die by the time they're 30 years old. Special horses MIGHT become immortal. [+] Foals may be speed-aged, but cannot be older than their dam and sire.
Breeding/Birthing Rules
[+] A stallion can breed when he is 3 or older, a mare can breed when she is 4 or older. [+] Graphic breeding is permitted, but please put a [G] in the subject somewhere to warn people who might not want to read such. [+] Graphic birthing is permitted as well, but please put a [G] somewhere in the subject to warn people. [+] Forcebreeding occurs in The Gorge only. [+] Breeding is only allowed in the Spring and Summer, although forcebreeding can occur year-round. [+] The third part of the password is ho. [+] The lead stallion can force any mare in his to breed with him. Similarly, the lead mare can force any stallion in her herd to breed with her. [+] Birthing occurs in the Winter and Spring, although it can happen anytime if the mare was forcebred in The Gorge. [+] A mare can give birth anytime the roleplayer feels is time, but foals born in the Summer and Autumn are prone to birth defects or still-births. [+] You can choose for your mare to have twins, but only one pair of twins are permitted per mare character. In addition, there is a fifty-fifty chance of one foal dying. [+] A staff member will post a few of the foal's stats.
Territory/Claiming Rules
[+] Both stallions and mares can claim land. [+] A roleplayer can only gain one land by claiming/challenging. But if his/her character was chosen to lead alongside the original claimer of another land, that is permitted. [+] The fourth part of the password is hu [+] After claiming a land, you must have at least one horse in your herd within two weeks, or else you will lose the territory. [+] If you are inactive for three weeks without notice, then you lose your territory. [+] Only the lead and beta stallions and mares may claim horses. [+] Mares and stallions who don't have a mate can go to The Meadow to find one and invite him/her into the herd, if he/she wants to. [+] Claims on terras can be accepted or rejected by the Royal[s] of that alliance. [+] To claim, create a roleplaying post of your stallion/mare claiming that land in that land's board.
Challenging/Fighting Rules
[+] Both stallions and mares can challenge for land, horses, etc. [+] A battle contains 12 posts. The first two posts will be the challenger arriving, then the challenged arriving. Then the battlers alternate posts for five more posts. Each horse has 3 attacks and 2 dodges, meaning that each horse can only attack 3 times, and each horse must get hit squarely at least once. [+] Battles are judged by the length and detail of posts and are judged on a point scale. [+] The winner can decide what he/she wants to do with the defeated (eg. let him/her stay in the herd, chase him/her off, let him/her continue to lead the herd, etc.) [+] The fifth part of the password is he. [+] Strength, Wisdom, and Experience also affect the judging, by adding points.
Stealing
[+] Steals are posted in OOC in The Stolen Meadow. [+] Steals are posted in poem/riddle form. [+] The poem/riddle must somehow tell the name of the mare/stallion, the stallion/mare who's stealing, and what land the mare/stallion being stolen is from. [+] Each roleplayer can only block once per steal if they think the mare/stallion that's being stolen is one of the mares/stallions in his/her herd, if he/she has a character that leads a herd. [+] Only leads may block. [+] If the lead of the herd does not block within a week of the steal being posted, the steal is said to be successful. If the person being stolen from is away (with notice), the person has a week after he/she comes back to reply. [+] If you think you know what the answer is, DO NOT TELL ANYONE! Or else it becomes unfair. [+] Each character is limited to two steals every month. We don't want mares and stallions switching herds every week... -_-
Royals
[+] Royals are the leaders of each alliance. [+] Royals are picked by auditions, except for the Dark Queen, who is roleplayed by SeaLight. [+] If a Royal is inactive for 3 weeks without notice, then he/she will lose his/her position. [+] Royals can accept/reject characters and accept/reject claims on land of their alliance, as well as judge battles of their alliance.
Strength, Wisdom, & Experience
[+] Looking at the mini-profile to the left, you can see 'Strength', 'Wisdom', and 'Experience'. [+] These are gained when you post. [+] Strength, wisdom, and experience can affect the outcomes of battles and auditions. [+] Strength, wisdom, and experience can also be subtracted if you break a rule.
